Our group project is guided by the following question:

We want to know if " the use of 'Communities of Learning' have a measurable effect on self-directed professional development."

Year One:

creation of a Ning as a portal for self-directed professional development
each founding member will recruit at least two colleagues to join the Room21C Ning
completion of a diagnostic survey to assess members attitudes towards the present form of professional development and comfort levels with web 2.0 tools
continued contribution to a bank of web 2.0 tool-based lessons/projects that Ning members may access
